<p>I have two daughters who got in to U of I with 25 ACT’s.</p>
<h1>1-graduated top 5% of her class, no AP’s but straight A’s in H.S. and many activities and leadership</h1>
<h1>2 took AP’s, top 11% of graduating class, lots of activities, leadership as well (captain etc.)</h1>
<p>Went to large public high school in NW suburbs of Chicago.</p>
<p>I thought one key was writing an essay to specifically justify the major they were applying for AND apply as early as you can when the essays are released. Remember, they are filling the “buckets” for those majors and if you are in earlier, you might get a spot.</p>
