Other Extracurriculars
I have participated in and won 1st place in two graphic design contests, one for the 2008 Hub Lakes Swimming Championship and another for my town's annual holiday t-shirt design.
My artwork is going to be displayed later this winter in an art gallery in New York City.
I have been playing the cello with private lessons since the 4th grade, but since the end of freshman year the school string ensemble has been inactive. Last summer I passed the ASTA Level 2 Cello exam, and this summer I am skipping a level for a certificate as a Level 4 cellist.

Race/Ethnicity
"Other." I am half-Pakistani, half-Caucasian. However, I doubt this will matter at all in my application review. I'm just throwing it out there, just in case. :P

Other
I am probably going to apply for the Women's Leadership summer program at GWU.

Also, it is noteworthy that during my sophomore year I went through a serious depression (depression runs genetically in my family; both my parents and my grandparents have all suffered from depression) in which my interest (and, as a result, my grades) dropped drastically.
I plan on including this information in a part of my essay, though I do NOT intend on making it a whiny, "woe-is-me" section. I have since become extremely motivated and I have not gotten anything lower than an A (not even an A-!) so far this year.
I plan on continuing this academic rigor in hopes of redeeming myself for my sophomore slump.

Any suggestions or thoughts? How much of a stretch is this going to be for me?
Thank you SO MUCH for your help!!!!
