<p>Your scores look good, however your rank needs to go up (top quarter) if you want to be automatically admitted to A&M. I know that A&M caps their engineering programs, so it’s good that you’ll be applying early.

<p>Well as of right now I am 182/663. I am hoping that I make it into top quarter by the end of this year, (I am working my butt off), but I think 170-175 is more reasonable. Does major choice affect whether you get into A&M?</p>

<p>I don’t know about major choice, but from what I’ve heard from my friends (I didn’t apply to A&M) is that if you apply to popular majors (business or engineering) it’ll be harder to get into the major. I have a friend who was automatically accepted and she didn’t get into engineering because it was all full, so she chose chemistry.</p>
