Harvard, Princeton, Dartmouth, Yale, Stanford, UPenn, Duke, and Wash U
( I have my safety college lol)
Intended major:political science
Public liberal arts Magnet school( rank one of the best in the state)
Rank 5/320 in the entire class
Unweighted GPA 4.0/4.0
SAT scores:2140 ( 710 CR, 730 M, 700 W) SAT Subject test: US-750 World-740
AP scores: AP lang-4, APUS-5, APStat- 4, APGOVT-5, APES-4, APWorld-5(self-studied)
Senior AP course load: APLit, AP Euro, AP ART H, AP Comp govt, AP Macro
First Generation Chinese student: parents do not know how to speak english, immigrated from china/lack education (wrote a great extra essay about this situation on the attached info on the common app)
Main Essay: losing weight, went from 255 to 185( about 80 pounds during junior year of high school)....great personal/conversational style essay :D</p>

<p>EC: debate captain, NHS president, Beta club treasurer, Mock Trial( lead attorney), Model UN, Literary Meet, Mu Alpha theta/math team, National english honor, tennis, Junior Statemen of america/young activist( vice president), Academic activities( FBLA, TEAMS, Academic Decathlon) </p>

<p>Volunteer: Environmental learning center, tutoring, DA's office( paperwork), local museum, and help chinese-speaking families/ friends with communication, help special kids learn how to play tennis </p>

<p>Awards: three teachers' honor student, Alpha scholar, GA certificate of merit, Governor's program finalist, AP scholar with distinction, Academic letter of distinction, Extra Curricular awards( too many to list but nothing big, just state and regional stuff) </p>

<p>You have great grades and solid EC’s, though I’d recommend you to bump up your SAT score by at least 100 points to be competitive for your reach schools.</p>

<p>they consider it but it won’t make a heavy impact on your admissions decision</p>

<p>I think your schools are too reachy. Even with 100 extra points on the SAT those are all a tough go. I think you need to add a bunch of places such as Emory, Michigan, Vanderbilt, and others. Right now you risk ending up at your safeties.</p>
