Freshman year doesn’t matter much. 1900 SAT and in!

that means i have to retake it to improve my score???

Yeah, get the SAT up. Apart from that, you’re good.

thx so much…i hope they will overlook my freshman year

Don’t take a light course load during senior year. It is definitely not the year to start taking it easy. Challenge yourself and take some APs. Your SAT score should range in the 1800s if you’re looking for admission at Davis. A little bit under is fine too. My score was a little under 1800, but had a decent GPA to make up for it. Some people have lower GPAs but higher SAT scores. If you excel in both of the areas of focus, then you’ve got the cat in the bag. Make sure you write a terrific personal statement, too. And don’t worry about freshmen year; colleges are the most forgiving for that particular year because you are still getting the hang of things.

^im gonna take AP CAL…AP GOV and AP BIO…i hope that works

and thx for ur reply…it was really helpful

maybe a little bump? :)

if you can bring your SAT up to like 1820+ you would probably have an above average chance because your gpa is good. but right now you are probably on the bubble.

UCs don’t consider freshman year at all. AT ALL. They only look at your UC-GPA, which takes into account Sophomore and Junior year grades.
