<p>I live in california and am indian?
Also, what are the most competative engineering majors to get into at Cal Poly?</p>

<p>SAT : 2130, Verbal:640, Math:740, Writing: 750
SAT II: Math 2:780, Chem: 760
AP Scores: Chemistry-4, US History-4, Calc AB (I did not take the class and didnt study. I needed to take the test for some program, and I got a 3, but hopefully it wont weigh as much because I didnt take the class yet)</p>

<p>GPA/Grades.
My GPA is 3.75 so far unweighted. (should i apply regular decision because i can get my gpa up to 3.79)
I am still a junior
my school doesnt rank, but im around the 70th percentile.</p>

Based on your grades, your CSU GPA for SLO is about a 3.97 and your SAT (Math+CR) is 1380, which are both in-range for Engineering. Industrial Engineering will be slightly easier to get into than CS. EC’s count for around 10% on your application plus SLO gives bonus points for a extra Math/Science/Language/Art/English classes and if your first generation etc… using their computer alogrithm.
You have a good chance for acceptance so keep working.</p>

<p>i’m an industrial engineer at CP, and i know for a fact that IE is one of the easier majors to get admitted into. i had about the same stats as you did, and i got in quite easily. so i think you have a pretty good chance of getting in for IE. can’t say the same about CS, considering it’s one of the toughest majors out there at CP</p>

<p>You have a good shot for industrial engineering and computer engineering, but computer engineering is generally more competitive, so I would apply industrial for a higher chance(if you are interested in it that is).</p>
