<p>I live in California and am Indian BTW</p>

<p>I have a situation and it would really help me if you guys can help. I want to apply to Colorado School of Mines, and I have a few questions. I can increase my GPA to 3.79 by Decemeber, but I hear that people should apply to Colorado School of Mines as soon as possible. They say their average GPA is 3.8, so a 3.79 would be close to what they want. Would it really affect my chances if I apply that late (in december)? If I should apply earlier, when should I apply by? The earliest I can apply is September 30th because I need to ask for my rec letters, and my teachers want a month time to write them. And sschool starts on Sept 1. Also, what are my chances of getting a schoarlship at the school (i am out of state)

<p>SAT : 2130, Verbal:640, Math:740, Writing: 750
SAT II: Math 2:780, Chem: 760
AP Scores: Chemistry-4, US History-4, Calc AB (I did not take the class and didnt study. I needed to take the test for some program, and I got a 3, but hopefully it wont weigh as much because I didnt take the class yet)</p>

<p>GPA/Grades.
My GPA is 3.75 so far unweighted.
Still need to take AP exams and Sat 2's
I am still a junior</p>

I know my EC's are a bit on the low side, but hopefully by test scores can balance them.</p>

<p>I don’t know much about out of state applicants, but you seem to have stats in the ballpark of top 20-30% of the people I know who got accepted in-state. Best of luck.</p>
