Lol why do so many people have 4.0s in your class, or is it a small class? Anyway answering your question I think you have a great chance of getting into Columbia. Just keep up the good work. Your ECs are good to and I am sure you’re not done. AP psychology by the way is a good course to take. The AP test for it is easy so you should have no problem getting credit for it. You should also try to take AP bio, its hard but its a great class to take. And of course, retake the SAT. Do all that and have a good essay and you have good chance compared to most. But remember that there are others with stats like yours, so don’t put all your eggs in a bunch and apply to many other schools.

hahah thanks for the reply and I know! isnt it crazy how many people have 4.0’s? My class is so smart, it’s actually ridiculous. Hopefully it won’t hurt college admissions!

Tutoring and charity club set you apart, but the other ECs are meh. But those two could really help, so I’d say that while obviously Columbia is a reach (for everyone really), you have a relatively good chance at it. Good luck!

And ugh I know about the whole terrifying academic competition you’re going up against with your peers. I got a B+ once in an AP class, and automatically went down to about #15 in the grade. Luckily we don’t actually rank so colleges will only see my percentage, but my god the high school class of 2012 is brutal.
