I know my EC's are weak.

Your EC’s are fine. Just do something that show’s more of your passion towards engineering such as a big project on it or go and take part in the robotics olympiad, program apps etc. It doesn’t make sense to do an internship in marketing when you’re applying for electrical engineering, so turn an internship in marketing into something more useful such as maybe fixing their computers etc. Your GPA is lower than expected by Cooper standards, which means you’ll face fierce competition from the 8% acceptance rate. I don’t live in America so I’m not familiar with whether saying I’m a junior now means you’ll be applying for fall '15 or '16. But if you’re applying for Fall '16 then do more AP’s. Otherwise, you really can’t help it so your best shot now is to concentrate in a couple of extra curric’s that show your passion, get splendid LOR’s from teachers who know you well and write fabulous essays. You’ll get a shot :)

@IBSenior2015‌ yeah, i thought i would do business until the end of last year, but now i want to do engineering. its quite late, school is almost starting and i wont really have time to find/do an engineering internships. would the marketing internship atleast show that i have good leadership qualities because i can network?
