Chance me to Dartmouth ED?

<p>Hey, so I'll be applying to Dartmouth for their Early Decision plan this coming fall. Could you please chance me? Thanks in advance. :)</p>

<p>GPA: 94 (I think that's around a 3.85-3.9, although I heard a 93 is considered an A.)
SAT I: 800 W, 790 M, 750 CR
SAT II: 780 USH, 790 MATH II, 780 BIO
AP Scores: 9 5s and 4 4s( taking 5 more this coming year)
Ranking: Top 5% ish?? School doesn't rank.
California, Lower Middle class around 35-40k a year, need fin. aid</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:
- Tennis Varsity (all 4 years, numerous awards, MVP, Most Improved player etc)
- School plays (4 years)
- School Newspaper (all 4 years, Editor)
- Published writer for a National newspaper (4 years, twice a week column)
- Soccer, play for the city, invited to play internationally in Europe, numerous awards
- Forensic/Debate team (4 years, President)
- Art Club (4 years, Vice-President)
- Book Club (4 years, President)
- National Honor Society (12, only year allowed)
- Numerous invite-only national leadership conferences, MUN
- National Student Leadership Conference (Medicine and Health care)
- Youth City Council, commended by Mayor
- Church youth group, lector, leader/supervisor, plan charity events (1200+ hours)
- Volunteer work at numerous charities (800+ hours)
- Started my own charity, made fundraisers etc.
- National AP Scholar
- National Merit Semi-Finalist</p>

<p>Summer Activities
- Paid internship with congresswoman (summer)
- Paid internship in business firm (steel plant)
- Internship with interventional cardiologist at local hospital (assisted with angiograms, etc)</p>

<p>Hooks? I don't know they count..
- School didn't offer APs until senior year, selfstudied all 13
- Moved to the US (California) in March from the Philippines, US citizen
- Started own charity (100 + members)</p>

<p>Your “hooks” aren’t going to be what brings you over the top. Hooks are like being a URM, legacy, big-donor, etc. Even as an unhooked applicant, you seem like you’re in a very good position to be accepted ED.</p>

<p>Looks good to me, but who knows what they look for in ED candidates who are not legacy/athletes (any chance of being recruited?)/high-statted URMs…</p>

<p>@ Consolation- I don’t think I have enough effort/skill to be recruited- I mostly focused on academics and I know lots of players who are stronger than me. How else do you think I can make my application stand out?</p>
