Essay
- i believe that this essay will be able to strongly cover my freshman and sophomore year grades.

Recommendations
- my math teacher, saludictorian at bates, pretty much garunteed me he would write the best essay possible for me, because of our good standings. ( he can pretty mcuh write "this guy is a genius"). my guidence counsellor also holds a similar view.

other
-brother is autistic
-parents are divorced

chance me please guys

bump…and ill also chance u backkk!

bumpppppdfdfdf

and the GPAs are unweighted…out of 4

Your credentials are very good,
princeton Reach it is for everyone
yale Reach
duke Match
emory Match
bowdoin dont know this school
notre dame Match
vanderbilt Match
cornell Low reach/ match
dartmouth Low reach / match

I think you have a very good chance at all these schools, but just to be safe add some safety schools, but I don’t see you really needing them. Good luck on your applications

thank you…finally someone to chance me!
do you have one anywhere you want me to help you with?

and what about JHU as well?

and my safety is northeastern, as ill get a full ride (most likely) as a national merit finalist

Reason: Low GPA (despide grade inflation, its still low, and lack of any significant EC’s awards, etc.)

princeton - high reach
yale - high reach
duke - mid reach
emory - low reach
bowdoin - low reach
notre dame - match
vanderbilt - high match
cornell - mid reach
dartmouth - mid reach

How are you predicting an 800 in CR? Just wondering.

i had the nov test in 2005. and i saw the test after taking the exam, and i got all the answers correct.

@the last chancer, thank you. you dont think, however, that my grades spiraling upwards, and my essay that i believe can cover my bad grades will affect that much?

Here’s the problem…essays may help you get over an issue at many schools, but schools like Princeton, Yale and Dartmouth have way more applicants without any issues than they can accept. I think you would need a fabulous EC or something else that makes you really stand out for a chance at these school. So dig deep and try to tell them what’s truly unusual about you.

You have to realize that tests aren’t nearly as important as they used to be. Your grades remain the single most important thing. Even if your grades went up, they still aren’t good enough. Too bad.

All of the schools except Ivy Leagues are a match. The Ivy Leagues will be from a reach to high reach situation, it is extremely hard to get into an Ivy League School. Nice stats by the way.

What kind of GPA system is that? I calculated it and at my school you would have a 4.28 freshmen year

on a 4.0 scale

A count as 4
A- count as a 3.67,
B+ 3.33
B counts as 3
b- 2.67
etc

so i may be slightly off and its around a 3.5-3.55 but its not a big difference. I dont remember my exact grades, but its always safe to play it as lower

and its unweighted.

is that your actual SAT score or predicted?

its predicted, but im pretty much positive (i had a test that they used before. i found the answers after taking the test, and saw i got them all right.)

You have really strong academic credentials; you definetly have the stats to get in. But the thing is, your ECs and awards don’t stick out a whole bunch, and that’s where the importance of essays come into play. Make sure those essays are personal and humble, ad then hope for good luck! Best wishes :)

hmm… probably get into emory, vanderbilt and notre dame. if lucky cornell the rest nope sorry. try ED cornell… ur grades are not high enough and nothing stands out about u

im volunteering at a hospital in a few months? but that will be after i send in my apps. can i include it? (its for a school thing, senior expierience. Since i want to be a doctor i figure about 60-100 hours of training in a hospital would be benefitial)
