While your ECs arent the most jaw-dropping, your grades are! 13 APs with 12 5s and 1 4! That is really good. Another big plus is your ethnicity, Afr. Am. Your SATs also look in good shape. Seems like u have a fair shot at making it, but ur downfall could be ur ECs. If you were Asian, you wouldn’t have such a great chance–but what do you care–I’m the one who should be worrying! :)

Remember, its not the end of the world if Harvard doesn’t accept you. A lot of it has to do with lucky, legacies, etc. I’m pretty sure, you could get into atleast one of the Ivies, even it does end up being Cornell, its still a great school.

This seems crazy… considering you might be the highest scoring URM I have seen yet. I’m not going to kid myself… I’d be surprised if you didn’t get in.

Mind merging into one being with me? With my EC’s and Hispanic background, and your grades, scores, and Black background… we’d be a ginger tale wielding ass kicking admissions behemoth.

Oh, and fyi I mean 50% chance in a favorable way. I factored in the 9% admissions rate…I’m basically trying to say you’re probably four times better than the average harvard applicant.

Mal77, there’s no need for him to merge persons with you – he’s an “ass-kicking admissions behemoth” on his own! Astounding academics aside, this guy is African-American…a first-generation college student…captain of the golf team…a surfer…lolwut! He has got to get some extra points for that combo.

In fact, I find the whole thing a little hard to believe…

I think your in. Given your perfect stats and your race, you got a great chance. But when they read about your surfing expertise, how can they possibly reject you!

On a side note, I am a breakdancer, but I had no way of showing that talent in my college app (I am in no dance club).

I dun get what that other thread he made means? He got deffered from UC Berkley with those stats? So that prob. means hes completley bluffing about these ones :0

^ lol @ ppl who track his posts so closely that they know all about him? Anyways piggybacking on this chances thread, how bout you guys chance the following:

SAT/ACT: 2400
GPA (W/UW): 4.6W
Rank: 4/300
Course Load: Most Rigorous…just like the top 10% of the class’s
AP/IB/College courses: 5AP’s, all 5’s; 8 more senior yr
ECs: some sciencey stuff and test-taking competitions… the usual
Work/Community Service: decent amount here and there
Awards: NMF, Presidential Scholar nominee, the AP award thingy
School type and rigor: public, above-average
Hooks (URM, 1st gen, etc): none

you can all be number 1/10000 and have 2400 on your SATs but honestly, I agree with itsme123…at Harvard your chance is as good as anyone’s… its effin random

^ lol @ ppl who track his posts so closely that they know all about him?

Why would you need to track his posts to realize he’s a ■■■■■?
