and I live in Pennsylvania

Hard to say without knowing your UW GPA, but be sure to have ridiculously good essays.

Unweighted GPA 3.87 i think. School doesn’t tell me but that’s what i calculated

UCLA - reach
NYU - match

don’t know about rest because i’m ignorant about there stats and etc…

UCLA is tough, but I think with good essays, you have a good chance. :)

Thanks a lot. Yeah my school sends a decent amount of people to NYU, but I was a little unsure. I could not be certain if the high acceptance rate out of my school came from academics or talent (aka people went to Tisch for acting - drama is big at my school). UCLA I am really pushing for. I know it’s a reach but I am confident in my essay-writing ability. My guidance counselor said that the geographic diversity factor would certainly help, as they like to brag about having kids from every state. Surprisingly few people apply from my area (1 or 2 a year tops), so maybe I’ll get in!

Thanks for the chance and any more appreciated…

Also, why not throw in the chances for Cornell and Penn. I know a kid with lower GPA and far less extra curriculars who got into Cornell last year. Of course, he said that he really nailed the interview and I believe he might have listed himself as a minority. His mother is Latino but he is visibly white as could be!

So yeah… Chance me for Cornell and Penn while you’re at it.

anyone else have some input?

yeah Ucla is going to be tough if you’re out of state, but if you have connections/legacies at places like UNC and Northwestern, you should be good. Write sick essays and have stellar recs too.
