Hi! :)

I'd love if people (especially psych majors!) can give me their stats and if they got accepted/rejected in recent years. But any information you have helps! :) :) :)

Sooooo

I'm at a California Community College (in the bay area, I don't know if that means anything, but let me know if you've heard of that being a benefit for Cal acceptance).

Major: PSYCHOLOGY
GPA: 3.69 (all a's and b's)
Prerequisites: Completed with a 4.0
IGETC: Completed
Work experience: Hostess, Internship editing films for a production company, data entry, tutor, babysitter
Community Service: About 125 hours
Phi Theta Kappa
First generation college student

Something else:
I went to middle college. For those of you who've never heard of it its a program at some Community Colleges for high school upperclassmen. I left my high school after junior year and went to middle college. It is on the community college campus. You take high school english and high school econ/gov with a high school teacher. (There are 30 high school seniors in the program and 30 high school juniors, and 2 high school teachers... the students are from all the high schools in the district). You fill up the rest of your schedule with classes offered by the community college. These classes give you high school credits AND college units. I received my diploma a semester early (DEC. 2010) because of this program. And since I had a year of college done before I would've graduated, I'm transferring a year ahead of where I would be if I'd stayed at my regular high school and then went to Community College.

I hope that will look good, but maybe they don't really care...but I wrote one of my essays about it (being at least a year younger than other transferring students this year and making an early transition to college blah blah)

I wrote the other essay about my dad passing away when I was little.

Sooo I'd love if people could give me an idea of my chances for Cal acceptance!

Thanks! :)
