chance me (transfer student)

Please, chance me. It would be greatly appreciated. I am an English major, but I want to double-major when I transfer with Biology. I am now in BMCC, the hellhole, in NYC. Quite frankly, I am very tired of living in New York all of my life and I want to try the South for the 2010 spring Semester.

I am looking at FSU, because I like the social life (the partying lol), the academics, warm weather, and I want to meet more people from the south.

I so far have 36 credits. If I include the 7 credits not counting for my degree over here in BMCC, then I have 42. My gpa is a 3.0 ( I am trying to bring it up this semester with all A's. I am very involved with the school community. I am the secretary for the SIFE club, Business Enterprise Club Website Committee leader, treasuer for the Health and Wellness Club, writer for the school Newspaper, and I am going to organize a fundraiser. These are courses I had taken please chance me.

Good luck on your application. While FSU may seem like it is smack-dab (a little Southern lingo there :)) in the deep south, we have a saying in Florida: To go “south” you have to go north. FSU and Tallahassee are not really representative of the Old South. Florida is faaaar from being really Southern at all. It’s much more like California these days. Culturally, the East Coast has more NE Yankees while the west coast has mid-westerners.
