hey guys, im looking to transfer for fall 2012, my gpa is currently 2.94 and my major is business administration, by the end of spring 2012, i will have completed igetc and my major lower division reqs, can i apply for tag and if not, how do my chances look?..thanks

you can prob even get into other UCs but as long as u’r going to be done with your pre-reqs, you should be good with Riverside

what other uc’s can i get into?

i was thinkin tagging with davis but wow, their GPA went up to 3.2 from 2.8.

it used to be 2.4 for UCR (2.7 for some majors) and now it’s 3.0 it’s crazy! so u gotta have this GPA by sept-oct when you sign tag so if you’re taking summer class, it’s in ur best interest to reach 3.0 and up for TAG … good luck! also know that people with no TAG get in fine. i didn’t have one.

u got accepted to ucr?

what school did u get accepted too?

yeah i’m starting this Fall. but it’s funny, UCR is making a huge turn as of this year, i was lucky to not wait another year. they’re opening a medical school soon, out of the referral pool, and have accepted significantly lower percentage, raised their TAG GPA and all. i think a GPA close to 3.0 is still competitive though factoring other things in(e.g. EC) . good luck!

i applied to UCR, Davis, and UCSC and didn’t make it to the other two prob cz i didn’t have my math done :/

yah, im going to hopefully get my gpa up this fall to 3.1-3.2 and see if i have a decent chance, what was your gpa?

Off topic but the medical school is being postponed until further notice because of the budget cuts.

so I heard! either with UCR or haider program, i’m fine with! thanks :)

mine was 2.8 with tons of EC, work experience, and great essay i also had upward trend from many W’s and B + Cs to As in recent semesters. Good luck!
