Chance me? (Transfer)

Hi,

I just finished my freshman year of college at Bryant University. Its a decent business school, but I’d like to attend a university with more diversity, opportunities, and a more respected curriculum. I want to transfer to Boston University for the second semester of my sophomore year.

My highschool GPA was 3.33
My College GPA this first year was 3.34

High School EC’s:
Student Council Executive Board Member (Secretary) Member all 4 years
DECA (National Business Club) Member for 2 years
Varsity Soccer (Played all 4 years)
Varsity Volleyball (Played all 4 years)

College EC’s:
Bryant Marketing Association (Recently elected as VP of Programming)
Hall 15 Council (second floor representative)
Multicultural Student Union
Club Volleyball
Counselor/Mentor to incoming international student freshmen
Writing Consultant
Summer finance intern at an insurance company
Intramural Referee

Awards:
Dean’s List both semesters

My goal is to become an investment banker and I am very driven about my future. I have been told by my professors that I am a good writer so I am not really worried about my writing, mostly just my credentials.

You’re almost within range, but I’d say get get a 4.0 next semester and bring your GPA above 3.5. You’d almost certainly get in.

Thank you “giantmidget”. I wanted to transfer in the fall so I could be there for the second semester. Do you think it would be worth it to apply before I got my next semester grades, or no?
