I’m a local college student with all of my prerequisites done at Miramar and Mesa. By the end of fall I would have complete 45 units with 21 left (2 of these classes will be completed over intersession, though).
I currently have a 3.56 GPA (planning to get it up this fall, too) and I am planning to transfer into the International Security and Conflict Resolution program with the emphasis in environment and security.
I will be missing a class that is only offered at San Diego State because it was only offered during fall. If I were to be able to take this class only offered at SDSU then I would be transferring with TAG but missing any class takes TAG away from me.
I am hoping I still have a chance. Let me know what you guys think, especially if you have had luck transferring without a
requirement completed!
Certain majors at SDSU offer the TAG program. My major does but I would be missing one class so it wouldn’t count for me. Since my major offers the TAG program it does not offer ADT so I will be applying in the second tier from what I’ve heard! I just hope it’s enough to get in
Sorry, I guess that the CSU’s do refer to their ADT programs as TAG. I think since you are local and have a competitive GPA that you stand a good chance at an acceptance.
I just applied to SDSU for Fall 18 as a transfer from De Anza College. I applied for graphic design and completed the golden four and all prerequisites will be done by spring besides one that is no longer taught at my current college. I have around a 3.4 GPA. Do you think I have a decent chance of getting accepted?
hey dannyq, since you’re not local its up in the air. I think you should be fine but it really depends on the applicants this year. Try your best to get that class done at a college in your area but if it’s not there they won’t hold it against u that much. You seem like the average applicant so definitely do not lose hope. Look at the last two years threads for transfers and sdsu statistics for transfers in your major
