This is not all of my resume, I would have included more but some of my activities are so specific and this is “college confidential.” I know my stats may not be up to par with what Tufts generally accepts, but I like the school a lot.

Tufts (ED1) HIGH REACH, DON’T WASTE YOUR ED1 ON A SCHOOL AT WHICH YOU HAVE NO CHANCE

You need to add a lot more matches and a bunch of safety schools.

So maybe my assertion about the honors program was a stretch, but honestly I only posted this to get a better idea of places I should be thinking about. This was not meant to be a thread for bashing me and calling me immature. I have just begun my junior year and my grades are already higher than my cumulative GPA so it is only improving, I just took my SAT’s and I am expected around 2000-2150 (and no, that is not exaggeration).

My stats may not seem as impressive on the surface as the others’, but when you go to a school as competitive as mine, it is almost impossible to get a 4.0 unless I want to take easier classes, and I have been challenging myself since freshman year. My school does not even have class ranking. In fact, I have already met with admissions officers from both wesleyan and tufts and I know I am a competitor and should not give up on those schools.

@tomofboston: I may have been a bit unrealistic when I said I will get into the honors program at Tulane, but being a bit defensive because of a rude remark on a harmless post should not classify me as “immature”

creativename - I think the real issue here is that you probably posted too soon. I think this will be far more productive for your after you have your actual SAT and ACT scores and after you have your GPA from your full junior year. There really is no hurry, in that sense. If you post here in May or June (whenever you have your data from your full junior year), then people can make more meaningful assessments. That still gives you plenty of time to narrow down the list (unless you want to apply to 20+ schools), make sure you have a good balance of schools when it comes to admission chances, and visit your top choices.

Best of luck the rest of your junior year! Keep working hard and everything should work out great for you.

I just wanted to say I disagree with most of the people on this thread and agree with fallenchemist - get your SAT and ACT scores up. you still have an entire semester with your gpa, get it up! then post on here next summer. you should have a good chance at tufts if you get your sat up.

I don’t understand why in gods name people apply to so many schools. Will you have visited and researched each one before you apply? I doubt it. Even so, with that many supplements, you’ll be spending so much time applying that each essay will lose value. There’s a difference between being interested in a school, and playing darts, with the exclusive intention of getting a big name.

Honestly there are 6 on the list that i truly like (will probably apply to). I have visited georgetown, umd, pitt, tufts, and I’m seeing tulane later this year. The rest were just for some feedback. Thanks though! Ones I’m truly interested in are tufts, wesleyan, oxy, uva, tulane, and unc chapel hill.

That’s a great list. Glad to see Tulane on the list you are really interested in. Tufts is great, but if that doesn’t work out for you and Tulane does, I think you will find it offers quite a lot as well. And as you probably saw, New Orleans is amazing. Even if your SAT comes in where you think it will, I would add two more schools to your list that you feel you have a 95+% chance of getting into. Just to be safe.

oh and all y’all who doubted me…I got my composite up to a 33!! (35 E, 32 M, 33 R, 31 S, 11 Essay). So yea…see how judgmental CC can be? such a silly silly website that’s for sure. Oh and I’ve already been accepted to Tulane. Now just waiting for vassar!
