I’m a high school senior and I really want to get into Tufts. I absolutely love it there!
So here’s my statistics:
-GPA: 3.84
-ACT: 32
-SATII: Biology 790
Math II 720 (retook, results pending)
Other Academic:
-I had an internship this summer with an orthopedic surgeon
-American Chem. Society Award
-Creativity and Innovation Scholarship Award
-National Spanish Exam Gold
-Cornell Essay Contest Finalist
I took relatively hard classes-- all honors and 4 APs (Bio, APUSH, Euro, Lang). This year I’m taking AP Chem, BC Calc, Spanish, Lit, Gov. I doubled up on sciences last year with Physics Honors and also have taken all the engineering classes at my school.
For ECs:
-I’ve played softball my whole life and have been on the varsity team since sophomore year and do travel all year-round
-Both jazz and women’s acapella choir
-Community Service Club
-NHS
-I am self-taught piano, guitar, ukulele player/singer and have a YouTube channel
I’m kind of worried about ECs because the only leadership role I’ve had is JV softball captain (the team doesn’t vote on varsity captains this season till spring), and I’m really into choir which has no leadership position in my school.
The other problem is that I got a 620 on the Physics SATII and I’m going into biological/chemical engineering, so would that be a problem if I didn’t submit it/should I submit it?
I have really good relationships with my teachers so I’m not too worried about recommendations. Also, I scheduled an interview and I’m applying ED if that helps.
