@notrack101 Which program are you applying for? What is your unweighted GPA? What are your English/Calculus/AP physics grades?

Given your ECs and your race, I think you should get some great offers from the US. U of T won’t consider race. Their Faculty of Arts and Science won’t consider ECs.

faculty of arts and science: humanities (political science). unweighted gpa is 3.75. i haven’t gotten those grades back yet but they should be around B’s to B+‘s in ap lit, physics 1 and calculus. and yes, i think the EC have help tremendously with US schools, i have received generous merit based scholarships for schools i fall short on the numbers for thus far in the US. but my number one choice is u of t so any guidance on how i should anticipate it ending up would be appreciated!

A 3.75 for poli sci is fine, but you mention that your 12th grade midterms will be in the 3.2 range which is a lot more iffy. U of T mainly looks at 12th grade GPA. Try to keep those grades up. Make sure your mid-year grades are sent in as soon as possible.

Some international admissions decisions will come out in the next 3 weeks. There will be another big wave of admissions around the 3rd week of March.

thanks for the help, do you happen to be familiar with the waiting period for a decision once the application status changes to “application under review”?

Your decision is not completely dependent on when your application is sent in or when it changes to under review. It’s also dependent on which “bucket” your application is in. Highest SAT scores and GPAs with applications for non-competitive majors get decisions in January. More competitive programs or less competitive GPAs get decisions in March. March is the big wave. Some people may get decisions in May or June. Rejections go out in June. Timing is also dependent on which college you applied to. Trinity and Victoria are just now processing their applications for decisions in March.

thanks for the help, got accepted feb 25

You’re welcome. Congratulations!
