CSUF/CSULB/SDSU: Match-High Match
SLO: Low Reach
UCSB: Reach

Your EI is above or within range for all the Cal states except SLO where your test scores and GPA are below average. SLO’s business school is very competitive. UCSB is a Reach for the same reason. I would add UCR which has an excellent Business school and Cal Poly Pomona to your list.

Good Luck.

Believe it or not - race plays no role in your admission at a CSU or UC.

Based on your stats, you are a competitive applicant for most majors at SDSU, Fullerton, CSULB and Cal Poly Pomona. Your GPA and test scores are below average for CP SLO and USCB but, they both look at a broader profile than you have provided.

Since you have to do the same essays, why not apply to UCR and Santa Cruz as well?

I think you are a great fit at all your colleges. You’ve challenged yourself academically in high school (Although those Bs are a matter of concern but not very serious though) and you also have decent ECS. Although I would worry a little about the SATs. You’ve scored relatively low. Try to get your score to your dream school’s 75th percentile or more. That would improve your chances drastically.

Other than that, as long as you don’t need financial aid and can write decent essays, you’ll have a good shot at most of these universities. Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1914041-please-chance-me-for-amherst-college-id-really-appreciate-that-p1.html?new=1

I just realized I have a3.7 flat, oops

Do you know how competitive business admin is? I know someone 2 years ago who got in with a 3.1 and 31 act, and 3.2 with 1180 sat

You should try some of the privates in California.

With your URM background, stats and EC’s, you will be an attractive candidate.
Try USC, USD, Chapman, Loyola Marymount, Point Loma Nazarene.

My father graduated from USC

There ya go!!!

@tylerhuff, have you considered UCSC?

I’m applying to places I have family in only
