The “cap” refers to the number of weighted classes counted toward your UCGPA, which inludes the 11th and 12th grade. Looks like you have four weighted classes in 10th and four weighted classes in 11th. Dont remember the cap, but you sound about there. I always assumed you needed straight A’s weighted and weighted to get the maximum weighted, capped gpa of 4.3or 4.5, but maybe not. In any case, it seems UCLA uses a FULLY weighted gpa.

For UCLA, here is a detailed profile of admitted freshman.

How competitive is your school?
Look at your school’s naviance page (if ti has one one) and look at the average SAT scores and GPA, because some schools are different from others.

Ex. Average GPA for Berkeley and LA is around 4.5 and average SAT score is around 2200

Berkeley - low reach
UCLA - low reach - high match
UCSD - high match - match
UCSB - match
UCD - match

" Average GPA for Berkeley and LA is around 4.5 and average SAT score is around 2200"

^^ The link says 4.37 and 2024 for admits to UCLA. A little lower for enrolled. but maybe tgere is a better source*. Looked at another way, the admit rate is about 21% for those composite SAT scores between between 1800 and 2090.

*Statfinder let’s you enter a number of variables, but the data is a few years old.

You see, my weighted GPA is great, but my unweighted sucks… which GPA will be more reviewed by UC?? Weighted or unweighted?

It’s “holistic”, so context probably matters.

I assume you have already applied, and at this point you should try to find a way to distract yourself, rather than obsessing about it.

I think you have a good chance at all of them! Your stats are solid. I’m applying to GWU as well under early decision 2! Good luck!
