I have a 4.2 gpa, have taken nearly a year’s worth of college courses, several ECs and many volunteer hours. I got a 25 on the ACT but I plan to retake it and a 1240 on the SAT. Can you chance me getting into a UC school, preferably Davis or Irvine?

What is your intended major?
Your SAT/ACT scores on the low side for both UCD and UCI but does depend upon intended major.
Computer science
Since CS is ultra competitive at all the UC’s, you really need to get your SAT score into the 1400+ range and ACT around 31+ for the best chances.
UCR/UCM and possibly UCSC might be your best options based on current stats. Also look at some of the Cal States such as SDSU, CSULB and Cal Poly Pomona.
