Please list anything I can do to increase my chances!

Within the Berkeley College of Engineering, selectivity varies by major. There is an Engineering Undeclared option, but that may be more selective than many of the declared engineering majors.

Have you checked whether you can afford to attend? Financial aid offerings won’t cover the non-resident tuition surcharge (about $22,000 per year above the resident costs).

upstate New York…that’s far far away. Berkeley doesn’t care too much about your ECs and essays. Try to improve your GPA and test scores such as SAT2 math2 physics chem bio and AP calculusBC physicsC both mech/EM, chem bio, compsciA AB, etc…

GPA: 95% weighted

what’s this mean

Our school’s gpa is on a 100 point scale, 93 unweighted, 95 weighted. Can I have some chances??

^ If you’ll be applying to the College of Letters and Science, you’re a slight match. For the College of Engineering, slight reach. I’d apply if I were.

SATs look good for L&S, need an 800 in math for engineering.

Your app depends on your GPA. Like, how good is a 95%? What’s your class-rank? If you’re not in the top 3-5%, probably a reach. If you’re top 1-2%, should be good.
