Chances at getting into:
UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, and University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, CalPoly SLO?

Any feedback is appreciated.

UC’s calculate their GPA based on 10-11th grades with a cap on UC approved Honors/AP/IB or DE courses taken 10-11th grades.

Here is the calculator and post Capped weighted and Fully weighted: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Cal Poly SLO includes 9-11th grades in their GPA calculation with a cap of 8 semesters of Honors points so add your 9th grades into the same calculator to get your SLO GPA.

What are your safety schools?

My weighted/capped UC GPA is listed at the top. Safeties: Arizona State University, Purdue, University of the Pacific

SLO GPA is 3.97

Sorry missed the weighted.

With a 4.0 capped weighted UC GPA and an ACT score of 35, UCI/UCD/UCSB are definitely possible. UCSD and SLO are also within Reach. None of the UC’s/SLO are solid guarantees however. I cannot comment on UIUC.

Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 (capped weighted and major specific). Competitive majors will have lower admission rates.

UCB: 12.6%
UCLA: 11.7%
UCSD: 38.7%
UCSB: 53.6%
UCD: 56.5%
UCI: 52.1%
UCSC: 75.7%
UCR: 90.1%
UCM: 96.1%

Best of luck.

Probably have to wait till jr year gpa to really evaluate, that being said, as the percentages in gumby’s post show, you should get in to UCI, UCD, UCSB, Cal Poly-SLO SD will be your toughest given you’re applying for EE. UIUC will be tough as well, that’s their toughest major along with CS.

Currently I am a senior and the GPA(s) listed are the capped/weighted GPAs for the UC system
