Prereqs: For bio: All offered at my cc by spring 2014 but the 2nd semester of bio finished.
For chem: All offered at my cc by spring 2014 but the entire physics series.
IGETC: Yes, will finish by spring 2014
EC: Some major related EC at my high school. Science bowl 4 years captain. Joined the Doctor's club. Next to none in college.

<p>He’s missing the entire physics series. I would say Cal and LA are both reaches. And it seems like he’s also missing the second semester of bio? The wording is a little ambiguous. You’re definitely in at UCD though.</p>
<p>I’m actually missing a lot of courses due to my cc being unable to provide them. Do you guys think that will affect me a lot? Do you think I should apply for Chem just to be safe as its unselective or should I apply for bio?</p>
<p>Well, If you’re set on going to UCD, you can TAG and guarantee yourself in. But I’m confident they’ll accept you regardless. A lot of people get accepted to UCD with prerequisites missing. You can look at last years’ UCD transfer thread.</p>
<p>Well I can’t tag because I didn’t have enough credits at the end of summer, i think. I had like 25 units. Do you think I can still TAG and they’ll let me off the hook or are we fairly strict with the 30 units? Thank you for the evaluation. Does UCD accept people off the alternate major? Will I get accepted as chem if i get rejected for bio? Thank you!!</p>

<p>They are strict on the 30 unit minimum. Even with 29 units you won’t get it accepted. You’re in really good shape for at least the Bio major at UCD which MINIMALLY requires 2 chems and 1 bio. Your GPA is solid with many pre-reqs done, I wouldn’t worry too much about Davis.</p>
<p>Thanks for the reply. However, my cc does not offer the physics without calc series and the ochem series. I actually only have the 2 chem courses and 1 bio course. I only fill the minimum requirement. Do you think I will be fine?</p>
<p>Sounds like if you have the unit requirement met you’re good to go. I’m 99% sure that if you JC doesn’t provide the courses you need for your major, you will not be penalized for it. I’m sure someone with more knowledge on this will chime in later though.</p>
