I had a really weak GPA throughout high school. Straight As my Freshman Year, mostly all Bs my Sophomore Year, 3 Bs 1st Semester Junior Year, all As 2nd Semester Junior Year, As over the summer at my community college and during the fall session, and most likely As my 1st Semester Senior Year. I was really depressed for a long time, and am worried that my bad grades will bring me down. In case others are interested, I’m also applying to Northwestern, Duke, Harvard, Stanford, UIUC and UMichigan.

Yeah, you’ll probably get in lets be honest.

Perfect score on the ACT lol wow I hate myself

You’ve got a really solid shot! Just try not to think about it much because it will have no impact on the result. I was going for UChicago for Econ but didn’t make it. Super thankful to have a full ride at IU Kelley, however. It may not have the same name appeal as UChicago but there are some brilliant people at IU since it’s such a huge school. Good luck and God bless!

@Fudgemasterg you are obviously well ahead of the curve, but honestly with Chicago RD anything goes. they have shifted most of their focus to EA/ED so RD has become insanely hard, the hardest of all the top schools, even Harvard or Stanford. Last year it was reported that the acceptance rate for RD was ~2% and that 75-80% of the class was admitted early. You definitely have a chance but it is very tough for anyone.

You are likely to be accepted (about 90%). Write a great essay and wait for the good news.

Lol you’re definitely not “likely” to get accepted. Sure, you have better chances that most, but you won’t know until March. Go ahead and apply, hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Good luck!
