Qualified for AIME in Junior Year.

Participated in the American Regions Mathematics League (ARML) in junior year. (Probably not worth much since I didn’t win anything haha)

I did a prestigious/selective seven week research program at the University of Arizona the summer between junior and senior year, where I did worked in a physics lab and presented my research at the end. I know I can get a good rec letter from the head of the lab.

My other recs will come from my english and math teachers, both of whom I have a great relationship with.

I’m a white male and I don’t have any hooks other than my parents immigrated from South Africa a year before I was born which isn’t really a hook.

I’m interested in doing math and maybe physics at one of these schools:
UChicago
UC Berkeley
UCLA
Stanford
Rice
Columbia

Thanks!

Edit: My SAT is actually 1580 sorry

Are they all affordable? Note that UCs do not offer financial aid to out of state students, except for a few high reach merit scholarships

@ucbalumnus yes assume they are all affordable for now
