Chance Me: UChicago, UPenn, Brown

I’m currently a high school junior and wondering what my chances were for the above schools.

Intended Major: Business or Econ
Race/Gender: Asian Female
GPA: 3.9 UW, 4.43 W
Rank: 40/1323 (we have a giant school)
SAT: 1520, 730 R/W, 790 Math, 23 Essay
Superscored: 1530, 740 R/W, 790 Math
SAT II: 750 Word History, 710 Math II (I’m retaking this in June)
AP: Euro (5) World History (5) Human Geo (5)
Classes: I’m in IB  But the ap exams I’m taking this year are Calc BC, English Lang and Comp, Micro and Macro, Chinese
Most likely National Merit semi finalist

EC:
They’re all music related
I’ve placed in a couple of local flute competitions, and region band. I’m also a member of a semi-prestigious local orchestra outside of school. I’m applying for a leadership position in the marching band next year since only seniors can be section leader. I was in the marching band when they made state last year, and I was also in the winterguard which placed second at regionals and third at nationals. I’ll also be submitting a music supplemental

NHS
Art (I take it outside of school and will also submit an art supplemental)

So my ECs are a bit lacking because marching band season is so busy I rarely have time to do much else :frowning: but assuming I write pretty good essays and have pretty good recs, will I have a ok shot? And does anyone know how much emphasis they give to music supplements?

I’m also applying to English schools so does anyone know anything about international schools? Oxford specifically?

You are a competitive applicant. Your stats are great and your ECs are good. Write amazing essays and you could get accepted to any of these schools. Make sure you apply ED to one as ED boosts your chances of admission. UChicago and Penn I think particularly like ED applicants, and tend to fill much of their class with these students. With original, creative, and fantastic essays you could get accepted to any of these schools
