GPA and SAT scores are both below average for UCLA. Also how in the world do you get a 1598 on the SAT?

UCLA: high reach(weigted GPA is a bit lower) and SAT is well below the average. Nice ECs, though.
USC: high reach(same reason)
UCI: reach(low SAT)
UCSD: reach(low SAT)
UCSB: reach(fine GPA but low SAT)

Why is the SAT score so low???

typo *1590 geez

is 1590 for CR+M or CR+M+W?

GPA and SAT are low for UCLA, UCSD. Might be ok for UCI and UCSB but SAT scores are low. You will get into UCM.

SAT score is definitely on the lower end of the spectrum. So make sure you do get that up. That is what makes UCI , UCSD, and UCSB a tad out of reach. GPA is just a tad low for some of the schools. Also I don’t think there’s necessarily a wow factor in terms of leadership.

UCLA/USC - High Reach (Scores/GPA are low, and lack of “wow” leadership positions. Leadership is what these schools really look for from what I’ve seen with people accepted)
UCI - High Match/Low Reach
UCSD - High Match/Low Reach
UCSB - High Match/Low Reach

@SeoulTofu are you a Korean?

@paul2752 Haha no. :)) If only since I do love korean culture. My username is just one of my favorite restaurants.

@SeoulTofu LOL.

UCLA/USC/UCSD: High Reach ( You need around a 2100 SAT score to have a chance)
UCI/UCSB: Reach (You need around a 1900 SAT score to have a chance)

Right now with that SAT score, you would have a chance at UCSC/UCR and UCM. Raise that score and you will have a lot more choices. You should also look into a Cal State as a safety.

ya that sat score was from junior year I didn’t study at all I just took it to see what it’s like I’m taking it again this Saturday so no worries and I’m studying this time
thanks peeps
