Yes, I'm a junior. I understand if you don't want to waste your time, but please help me out... I screwed up and am trying to get an idea of what I have a shot at.

Ethnicity: Asian Gender: Female

UC GPA: 3.7/3.8 W

(school weights the same as UC)

SAT: 1430/2220

ECs:
-Own several businesses making thousands a year
-Own several websites and sold several sites
-CSF
-Varsity Track 4 years

Schools:
-Cornell ED
-WashU ED <- (double legacy, dad is well known in the engineering department)
-UC Berkely
-UCLA
-UCSD

Note: Not sure if this would make a difference, but I plan on entering either computer science, business, or chemical engineering. I heard I have an advantage since I'm a female... :)

UCSD - low reach/match
UC berkeley - Reach
UCLA - reach (I know major does not make a difference in admissions in UCLA)
Cornell - reach
WashU- I have no idea LOL

It would actually help if you listed how many weighted classes you took in your sophomore year (If you took 4 weighted, a 3.7 isnt very good; if you took 0 its good). Its hard to tell without your junior year GPA
Get that GPA up, and consider doing more volunteer work and EC’s, esp if you want to go to a private. The business thing is nice, but its not reputed (you cant get a letter of req from yourself). Consider interning at some major corporations, which shouldnt be difficult to get if you already have an impressive portfolio.

UCSD - match
UC berkeley - Reach
UCLA - high reach
Cornell - reach

Raise that GPA! GPA>>>businesses and stuff. Think about your letter of reqs as well.
and i dont think you would need to focus on SAT at this point, 2220 shouldnt make too much of a difference from a 2400. EC’s and GPA are what matter past this point.

You have a chance for UCLA and Washingtob, but Cornell is a huge reach and so is UCB. If you can raise your SAT and join a lot of clubs and get leadership position your chances will increase dramastically

Washington U, St. Louis ED - mid reach
Cornell ED - Reach
Berkeley - low reach
UCLA - low reach
UCSD - Match

WashU is particularly flaky in their admissions since they tend to reject a lot of over qualified candidates while accepting under qualified ones. I think you’ll be alright though.

so the general gist/idea seems like everythings a reach except ucsd?

Do my SATs not make up for my grades? And would it be more impressive if I said how much I make from my businesses and websites? (it’s thousands a month sometimes so…?)
