You will have no trouble getting in the UK schools but you must know what you want to study. Unlike the American system it is difficult to switch and graduate on time. The UK schools only care about grades and scores and studies. The ECs don’t matter as much.

Yes I realize that, I have already applied and know all about the UK system.

I suggest you apply to the UK universities asap because the longer you wait, the longer it will take to hear back. Please let us know if you get Unconditional Firm anywhere.

As stated above, I have already applied to Warwick, Edinburgh, Saint Andrews, and Kings.

I will be sure to let you know how it goes in the coming weeks. If anyone has any advice/insights to studying in the UK let me know!

You might as well choose a 5th school to apply to in the UK, as it won’t cost you anything. I would suggest looking at UCL/LSE/Durham, all of which rank within the top 5 or 10 (depending on what ranking you’re looking at) in the UK and are considered to be in the league just below Oxbridge/among the most prestigious in the UK.

For economics (depending on the ranking)
Durham ranks 3rd (ahead of Cambridge); 7th (ahead of Edinburgh/St. A’s)
UCL ranks 9th (ahead of Edinburgh/St. A’s); 5th (Ahead of Durham, Edin, St. A’s)
LSE ranks 2nd (ahead of Durham, second only to Oxford); 1st (Ahead of Oxford)

For business/management:
Durham Ranks 20th (just behind Edin); 14th (Ahead of UCL/Edin)
UCL ranks 12th (Ahead of King’s/Edin); 43rd (oddly low ranking, but ahead of Edin)
LSE ranks 9th (Ahead of UCL/Kings’s/Edin); 2nd (only beaten by Cambridge)

I actually applied to Saint Andrews twice for two different degree programs.
I was interested in both UCL and LSE, but UCL required BC Calculus for Economics, which i am not taking, and I would not have enough 5’s on APs by the end of my senior year for LSE :/
