Got 4F’S, 4W’S, 4D’S.
GPA of 3.5
Transfer (not international) from a CC
Major: BIOCHEM
Have strong essays and many EC activities.
The grades above are not major-related at all if they take that under consideration by any means.
Thanks in advance. Just looking forward to knowing how the admission process works and how they look at situations like these for students.
I also want to know if admissions will be lower this year for CC transfers due to high school students being able to do their apps without any test scores completed due to covid and if that affects many students who are transferring from a CC?
Were the F and D grade courses repeated?
If so, UC says that “The new grade earned will replace the deficient grade in the GPA calculation.”
https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/transfer/advising/transferring-credits/
CSU will “Honor the grading policies of the institution where credit was earned by accepting official transcript entries including those reflecting academic renewal, repeat and incomplete grades.” See page 40 of:

For UC transfer admission stats, see
For SDSU, there is this list of minimum GPA requirements, but " Due to limited spaces in all majors and programs, upper-division transfer applicants exceeding the minimum GPA requirements will receive admission priority for available spaces."

yes, they were repeated. thanks
