What do i need to do to improve my chances considering I'm indian, i have ok ACT scores, and my extracurriculars aren't exactly stellar... please help me UCSD is my dream school. Also, if you don't mind, could you chance for UCLA Computer Science, and UCB Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Also, do you think it would be worth money and time to apply to any ivy leagues? Would I have a decent chance of getting in?

UCSD: match
UCLA/UCB: high match/low reach

I’m sure you will definitely get into at least two of these schools! good luck

I know people who have gotten into UCLA with way less ECs. How do you fit them all on your app?! You aren’t giving yourself nearly enough credit. A 34 on the ACT puts you in the 99% range, so they are more than “ok”. I think you’ll get into at least 2/3 of your schools, I wouldn’t be surprised if you got into UCB as well.

@outofstategirl Well, I’m applying for Biomedical Engineering at UCSD, which is a heavily impacted major. That’s why I’m extremely nervous. Does anybody have any information on getting into Biomedical Engineering at UCSD??

@poorvi1‌ Your ECs are VERY good. UCSD is definitely a match for you.
UCLA and UCB are high matches.

buump

I read somewhere that UCSD Biomedical Engineering only has an acceptance rate of 17%… Does anybody know some stats of those who were accepted?

HELP! Need information on UCSD Bio Engineering…

you can contact them by emailing admission office

I honestly believe you have a very good chance to get into all three schools. I know a couple people with lower act and sat scores and got into these UCs. Like with all admissions, some under qualified people get in, while people with great test scores and gpas get rejected.
