Might as well see if I even belong at this school (one of my top choices), the whole March 30th UCSD admissions thing going on with the portal is causing me to be nervous. Would appreciate a Chance me. :-SS

  • ACT (plus writing): 34
  • SAT II Math II: 730
  • SAT II Bio M: 650
  • GPA: (UC weighted GPA): 4.18, Unweighted: 3.88
  • 8 APs total

EC:

  • 3 years swim (2 years varsity)
  • Founder of History Club (and president therefore)
  • 3 Years Leo’s Club
  • 3 Years NHS
  • Volunteer Tutor (Through NHS)
  • Have a job as a Math Tutor (recent)
  • 150+ Hours of Volunteer work at Hospital
  • Awards: Summa Cum Laude, Bronze PVSA, AP Scholar

Major: Biology w/ specialization in Bioinformatics; alt is Physiology/Neurobiology

Hey! I have about the same stats as you and I got accepted. You should definitely check your portal now because my results were posted last friday (the 10th)

@Whovian696 Congradulations! For what major did you get accepted? Mines not in yet, but I haven’t lost hope (still have the March 30th message).

Definitely seems like a solid match school for you. The only thing I’d consider as a detriment would be only two SAT II tests, but they both pertain to your application’s major. Your academics and extracurricular are pretty on par with San Diego’s expectations, from what I’ve seen with peers and CC forum members.
