chance me UMICH, UNC, UCLA, etc.

I am a high school student in CA, currently sophomore, and my ultimate dream would be to get accepted into UMICH LSA and then apply for ROSS business program. My stats an ECs follow:

Stats:
APs: human geo (5), currently taking ap chem and ap world
plan on taking 3 ap courses junior year and 3-4 senior year

GPA (unweighted): 4.0
GPA (weighted): 4.59

SAT: 1480 (trying to break 1500)

School rank: 27/613

plan on taking math level 2 and chem subject tests, possibly physics

Main ECs: Junior varsity on my track and cross country team, coaching position in special Olympics (non profit in Southern California), currently employed at Chick-fil-A, volunteered at library for freshman and some of sophomore year
(was going to go on volunteer abroad trip possibly this summer but was cancelled, will try and apply for next summer)

School clubs: Key Club, NHS, DECA

Other: White, Upper middle class, male

UCLA would be a match. UNC and UMich would be reaches for the sole fact that you’re OOS.

I agree. Would you be OK just going to LSA and not Ross if Accepted? Stats and Ecs are good. Take the most rigorous classes that you can still do well in also. Coaching position in special Olympics and on the track team. That’s cool. Plus you volunteer and work. That says a lot about your character. Keep it up and do things you want to do. Going away to volunteer can be cliché but if it’s something that’s meaningful to you it completes your picture of who you are. Nice
