Applied RD to all
I have a 1440 SAT (7-7-7 on essay)
around a 3.85 unweighted (One B, rest are As and A-s)
Class Rank: 14 / 414 (4th percentile)
I’ve taken a rigorous course load with a multitude of AP classes (*but never sent the scores in)
720 SAT ll U.S. History
My personal essay was so-so but my supplements were strong
I have one very strong EC (Student led health campaign with support from regional Public Health-was also honored by my county for our work) and a couple of other smaller things
Solid recommendation and a supplemental recommendation related to my stronger extracurricular
Female
Ethnicity- White (Middle Eastern specifically)
OOS- but legacy for UMich (Grandpa, father)

I would love some input on what you think my chances will be because I know my academic profile is around average. Also on how much my midterm report will affect my chances and whether applying late in the RD process will as well.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

For UMich, your test score and GPA are at or slightly below admission average. Legacy helps a little bit but not much. It is a reach for you from OOS. Their OOS admission rate is expected to be in the mid teens this year.

UNC and UMich will be difficult for OOS (i’m not very familiar with UNC, but i know UMich has rolling admissions, so applying late in the game possibly could hurt you.), but i say you have a chance. USC, in my opinion, is very unpredictable. they reject a ton of people with great stats. good luck regardless!
