Chance Me: UNC @ Chapel Hill, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, NCSU, University of Washington, and UC Dav

Hi, I want to see if I’d be able to get into UNC @ Chapel Hill, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, NCSU, University of Washington, and UC Davis.

I’d be going for Genetics major, and I’m out of state for all.

I will be applying EA to UNC.

3.77U/W GPA, and 3.96 weighted GPA on a 4.4 scale (AP and Honors coursework is weighted x1.1), WGPA Calculated normally is about 4.12

I did have a slight negative grade trend, but I was taking up harder coursework and there were other personal reasons.

UNC-CH is capped at 18% OOS students- and that includes recruited athletes. Consider it a reach.

WF was a tough admit this year: I know a couple of students with similar stats who were rejected or wait-listed- and WF has already said that they are over-subscribed and will not be going to the WL this year. Consider it a very high match/ low reach. Downward grade trend may matter most with them, btw.

Go on the UC website & calculate your UC GPA- that will give you a better idea for UC-D.
