I’m also looking into NC State, Wake Forest University, and Davidson College

I think your ACT score and EC’s are fine but your current GPA and rank would make admission at WFU, UNC, and Davidson reach schools and NC state a low match.

@slngbld Which schools do you believe should be targets for me then? Also, thanks for your evaluation!

Based on the schools you listed I am guessing you are looking at both public and private colleges in NC. You may want to look at Elon, the other UNC schools including Charlotte, Wilmington. App State. I am sure you are incredibly bright, those high schools in Cary are super competitive which is probably the reason for the top 25% rank. I wish you the best of luck

ECs and Test Scores are really good, but GPA needs work. However, I’d say with your current stats, you still have a good chance to get in if you go to school in a county that isn’t Mecklenburg or Wake since UNC’s acceptance rate is a lot higher for smaller counties in NC.

@ChapelThrill20 Okay, I’ll see if I can raise my GPA this year and the next. Thanks!
