UNC has been my first pick since freshmen year of high school, my fear of being denied is growing each day. My currently high school resume will be listed below. What’s Concurrent Composition?

It’s like College credit

Hi, I’m a UNC accepted student (not going). I’m also in state (my high school is public and rural). We usually have about 15-20 students get in to UNC every year. From what I’ve seen in my school and other schools in NC, if you’re in the top 5-10% of your class you have a high chance of getting in. At least at my school I have never heard of anyone below top 15% get accepted. At many competitive schools in the Charlotte and Raleigh areas it is not uncommon for all the top 100 students to get into UNC. So, a big portion depends on your high school and how you compare to fellow classmates. Your course load seems on par. Your weighted GPA of 4.03 is kind of low, but your ECs might make up for that (I’m not too sure). If you could retake the SAT and get a higher score that would definitely help. I’ve also heard this rumor that UNC really likes Governor’s School.

If you don’t get into NC State I will be very surprised. Good luck!
