Act score is good. I got in with a 31. My GPA was similar to yours just a little higher. I had only taken one AP exam (bio -4) when I applied, which leads me to believe they don’t care all that much about your AP scores. The fact that you’re taking lots of AP’s is good though. Also being out of state is helpful. As long as your essay is decent I think you will get in.
OOS admission to Michigan is a reach for everyone, for class of 2023 the OOS acceptance rate was 19.4%. https://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/index.ssf/2018/06/university_of_michigan_receive_8.html
Your GPA is about average as compared class of 2023s, ACT is somewhere between 25% and the median, with reading below the 25th%. https://admissions.umich.edu/apply/freshmen-applicants/student-profile
Being a URM is an advantage, and being from Oregon most likely will be attractive as well. Make sure that your essays are excellent and incorporate specifically ‘why michigan’, and what qualities you will bring to campus and the local community. Good luck, and make sure you are applying to safeties and matches as well.
@Mwfan1921 Thanks, would it help if I submitted my SAT as well I got a 1430 with a 730 on reading and a 700 on math(to compensate for low reading score on ACT)?
