Listed my LSA interest as PoliSci/PubPol, talked about wanting to check out Ford School of PubPol in my essay

oh, and as for essays/recommendations,

LOR
Teachers:
-one from my Creative Writing teacher/forensics coach/magazine supervisor: she actually let me read it, I thought it was pretty okay - ‘she’s a good leader’ and stuff - nothing that amazing I guess (…7/8 / 10)
-another from my AP Econ teacher and MUN sponsor- i have no idea what he said, but if I had to speculate I hope hed say im a good MUN leader, and he doesn’t hate me or anything so…(6/7 / 10)

Counselor:
I don’t know my counselor very well, but I asked her to talk about my upward grade trend and growing as a person throughout high school, and my contributions to the schools creative community with theliterary magazine and NAHS murals.

Essays:
I actually kind of hated my essays so idk, I worked hard on them though and adults reviewed them, I had several drafts, the whole shabang

Common App: talked about how I love words and how reading sci-fi changed my worldview (kinda tried to work it into my becoming more mature throughout high school narrative, idk)

Why Michigan: Talked about the political science courses I want to take, about being excited for the Ford School of Public Policy, about wanting to write for the Michigan Daily - and I peppered in being gay and going to UofM Alumni summer camp as a kid and looking up to UofM students as my counselors

Community: the dog park - tried to be like, oh everyone’s so different but we’re all connected by dogs #endracism2k18

And I said I would continue doing Model UN if I had to choose, because UofM has a model UN team and I enjoy debating issues, and it’d help prepare me with the skills I’d need for my major.
