Chance me up, pretty please ;)

Hi everyone! I posted in this forum a month or so back, and I've narrowed down my list of colleges to apply to now, so I'm hoping you guys can tell me my chances for some of these schools. Plus, I'm doing the Questbridge Application - just need to fill out the supplements now and I'll be totally done - so I'd like to hear your thoughts on my chances of making finalist for that. Thanks!

Here are some of the colleges I'm thinking of applying to:

Texas Tech - National Merit package attractive
University of Alabama - National Merit package attractive
University of Southern California
University of CA - Berkeley
UPenn
University of Chicago
Georgetown
Brown
Pomona
Swarthmore - attended their Discovery Weekend program
Cornell
Amherst - Questbridge
Rice - Questbridge
Columbia - Questbridge
Stanford - Questbridge
Princeton - Questbridge
Harvard - shot in the dark, but hey, I might as well give it a try

I'd also like to hear suggestions about good matches for me. Thank you so much ;)

You have a shot at most of these except HYPS in all likelihood. Have you considered Claremont McKenna? You sound like you are interested in business and have leadership abilities. I bet you would get a nice scholarship from them.

Given Questbridge, can we assume a very disadvantaged background? Inner city school? If yes, then there's a shot at all if the recs talk about really overcoming odds.

Assuming you are a California resident,
UCB: Safe Match

Well, I'm a Texas girl, born and raised. Does that reduce my chances for UC-Berkeley?

Very disadvantaged? I wouldn't go quite that far, but my parents never received anything higher than an 8th grade education in Vietnam, so I'll be the first one in my family to go to college, if that counts for anything. My parents combined make about $46000/yr.

You suck.

For being so goshdurned good, and getting "you don't have much of a chance" answers.

......

did u get in questbridge?

*** is hyps?

wat is hyps, cant even write w t h anymore

harvard yale princeton stanford

Yes, being a Texan reduces your chances for UC-Berkeley, but go ahead and apply anyway. Your profile is really good.

Yay, I got in as a Questbridge finalist! Does that significantly boost my chances for Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, and Amherst, since those four are Questbridge partners?

it does help, but it does not significantly boost your chances.

I was also wondering, will that low Math II score kill my chances at schools like Stanford and Columbia? I've always been much better in English and history than in math, so I was kinda hoping my high verbal scores would offset the slightly lower math scores.

I don't know if you're forgetting, but Swarthmore is also a Questbridge school...if it matters; I don't know if you left it off for another reason.
