brown (ED), brown plme (ED), cornell, tufts, columbia, u of rochester, u of rochester BS/MD, uconn honors, uconn honors + bs/md, nyu, boston university, carnegie mellon, dartmouth, upenn, duke, u of miami bs/md

The only ones that are not extreme reaches on your list is boston university and carnegie mellon. They are just slight reaches.

You seriously have got no chance at most of the schools. Your numbers are way too low and your extracurriculars are pretty average. Besides, bs/md things are mostly score oriented. Your scores are not high enough to get past the first round. The cutoff for most bs/md is around 2250.

To add to what fast wrote, you're an ORM from a private school in an over represented state. That puts you in a VERY competitive group. I agree with the above except I think you have a good chance at NYU if it's not Stern or Tish and I don't know about UConn, but if it's like most state schools you'll get in there too.

does it help if my school is able to send most kids who graduate to most of the non-ivies on the list + cornell and dartmouth?

cuz seriously, ive seen scattergrams of kids from my school who have about the same or lower scores than me, and who have done as much with ECs as I have, and they were able to get in. no confrontation or anything, but i dont believe that BU is a slight reach for me, or pretty much anything you said. ive been told actually BU is a likely for me from my college counselor based on the scattergrams

and i am retakin my ACTs so my "too low" scores will hopefully change for the better (despite that i probably have one of the highest ACT scores at my school)

and regards to being an ORM, yeah i know it hurts me a little bit, but do you think essays/interviews/letters of rec would help counter balance that?

btw im in no way being hostile, just somewhat suprised to hear that i have no chance at all, especially at the uconn honors program, which is in my home-state

Ok, I honestly think that your chances of getting into a combined program are low...the schools that I believe are good matches for you are: NYU, BU, CMU, UConn Honors. Dude honestly, you gotta beef up your ecs and your test scores...as of now, your chances are slim to none. (don't mean to be rude, but honesty never hurt anyone).

What do you plan to write about on your essays?

I would bring up the scores to have a shot at most of these.
