@hdott629 Do not worry about more clubs at this point. Penn State barely pays attention to clubs. Also, your senior year grades are moot and don’t matter AT ALL. Penn State will not look at them. All they want to know is that you graduated. Admissions is 2/3 GPA and 1/3 test scores and other factors. They will only look at extra curriculars if you are very borderline. Your parents being alumni will fall into that “other factors” .
Your SAT score is good, what is is your UW GPA? That may make a difference. But basically right now, your weighted GPA is near the 25th% ranking for admissions and your SAT is within the middle 50%. With summer, you have a chance.
If your school doesn’t report UW GPA then Penn State will just use your weighted GPA. The college of IST is sort of a middle of the road difficulty level for admission. Not as competitive as Smeal or Engineering, but more competitive than Liberal Arts. You have a decent shot especially with summer session and your SAT will help you.
