wasn’t the deadline the 21st of this month?

the deadline was the 21st for freshman applicants. but if that was the case for trannsfer applicants- i submitted my application early december. im just reposting a “chance me” update with all my new grades.

BUMP. can anyone give me any advice? or insight? please be honest.

Dang i hope you get in. Im in somewhat of a similar situation. Not the greatest hs record but decent college grades. After 3 semesters i have 3.093. Im trying to transfer for the summer term and im going crazyyy.

yeah, i applied to florida state too as a transfer for summer. i got a 3.8 at university of connecticut, biology pre-med. heard fsu gets more selective by the year.

when did you apply landon??

little more than three weeks ago. also applied to uf, ucf, and usf. got accepted to usf in less than two weeks. i have done a ton of volunteer work at school, so that’s probably the best thing going for me.

and honeyxtea, i’m thinking your chances are 50-50, beacuse your hs gpa/and your sat is low. as a lower division transfer, i know that they look at your hs resume, but hopefully the fact that you started off pretty well in college (except your C), will help win them over. either way, good luck!

Just curious, but why do you want to come to Florida?

i just moved to florida from connecticut, because my parents retired. now that i’m a florida resident, and I want to go to medical school in florida, I just want to get into the rhythm of actually going to school in florida. plus its a lot less expensive to go to school in florida, and finally, because connecticut weather sucks haha.

hey landon…what do you think of my chances? Professional Golf Management major and after 3 semesters of college i have a 3.093. My app says upper division but im guessing that only around 35 credits will transfer over. But with this spring semester it should be around 48. So i hope they see that by the summer term is over, I will have around 60 credits or maybe more. But, my hs record isnt the greatest. 2.9 gpa with somewhat low SAT’S. ??

plus i took the freakin SAT when i was 16. Im 19 now…i hope they don’t really look at that…

I’ll be honest with you, I don’t too much about the Professional Golf Management major, but it sounds cool. If you are transferring from a CC, I’d say your chances aren’t too bad. If you are transferring from a University, then I’d say it’s going to be pretty tough. Your GPA is not terrific, and FSU is getting more competitive every year, but maybe your major does not require as high of a GPA. Good luck!

hey guys! thanks for all your advice (:
i got rejected but i talked to admissions & they just said they werent able to accept me bcus of my high school stats and because i was a lower division transfer.

I am hoping to apply again for the fall of 2011- which by then im hoping my GPA would be a 3.7.

thanks for all your advice!

and i wanted to come to fsu because i fell in love with the school when i visited.

sorry to hear that. good luck in the future!
