Recommendations: Really good. One from an English Teacher, the other from a History Teacher (the different styles mesh together well)

<p>That's pretty insulting KLee. The OP's in the top 1% of his class, with a great score and nice ECs to boot. He's a great applicant, black or not.</p>

<p>yeah but it is a major factor no matter what. get with reality where race plays a large role in the admissions process and people in the top 1% of their class can still (OMG) get rejected from top schools just because they are asian.</p>

<p>Klee DOES have a good point. OP is a great applicant, even if he wasn't black, but being black pretty much drives the point home, if that metaphor can be applicable here.</p>
