I definately think you should apply ED. Thats when Penn likes to fill its demographic and you being a canadian might be an advantage (maybe not, not to familiar with the international student pool). RD is a risk for even the smartest person. I’m assuming you have more ECs like volunteer work or maybe an internship? or some school clubs or leadership opportunities?

I’m also applying SEAS ED and there’s an approximate 30-40% acceptance rate. Obviously the applicant pool is more competitive, but none the less the acceptance rate is pretty amazing.

It wouldnt necessarily be the stats thats pulling your hind leg, cuz your numbers look really strong. If anything is would be the ECs. Its hard for me to interpret your GPA within the context of your school. But if you think ur in the top 10-15% of your class then your GPA is good.

ED is definitely a great option. Your stats are pretty impressive, and being out of the US helps. Still, try to make your essays emphasize what YOU can bring to Penn, not what Penn offers that you like, since you really want to stand out and show your individuality. Good luck and chance me?
