If your school doesn’t offer chem hl then it’s fine. If you’re pursuing anything a bit related to medicine you are highly recommended to have chem hl since organic chem is more detailed in chem hl. However, seeing that your school doesn’t offer chem hl, you should try to let your school write that in the school report, so that the admission officers will know this fact.

You seem to be a pretty solid applicant, so I’m sure you would excel, and good luck! :)

You have great test scores and a good GPA, plus some very good ECs. In particular, I think it’s so great that you started such a meaningful and successful charity. Not only will it look good on apps, but more importantly it is such a rewarding thing to do! Mit, Stanford, Ivies and the like are reaches for anyone, but I think you have a good application and solid chance at any school you apply to. What’s your major? I’m assuming it’s something medical-related, since you’ve done so much with fighting cancer.

Duke: reach/low reach
Stanford: reach
MIT: reach
Rice: low reach
Northwestern: reach
Vandy: low reach
UChicago: reach
UVA: low reach
Emory: high match/low reach
NYU: high match/low reach
Georgia tech: low match
purdue: match
UCLA, UCB: high match/low reach for Berkeley

Thanks!
I’m applying business/ econ at the schools that have reputable progress (penn, UVA, uchicago, NYU, and most ivys) and engineering at others, including princeton and Columbia

Great SAT scores and your SAT 2 Math score is just fine, I wouldn’t waste time retaking it. I would take another one with that time! Excellent EC’s but with all Ivy’s and top schools, it will be a reach. Good luck!

You have a brilliant course load, great scores, GPA, and ECs. I think you have a higher chance than most for Ivies, but of course, they’re going to be reaches. I believe you’re pretty much solid for most of these schools, but I think that the higher level colleges will be a low reach-reach for you. You don’t need to retake your SAT 2s–they’re all pretty high.
Sorry for the lack of specifity. I’m on a time constraint right now.

Georgia Tech loves people like.you
don’t count on much financial aid tho.
Btw stanford accepts like nobody, but I believe you have around a 40% chance there

Harvard- Reach
Princeton- Reach
Yale- Reach
Columbia- Low Reach
Penn Wharton ED- A bit of a crapshoot

all Ivy Leagues - low reach (slightly lower b/c you’ll probably have some great essay topics ;))
duke - low reach same reason
stanford - mid-low reach (more reachy than the others cuz its stanford)
MIT - low reach
Rice - high match
Northwestern - high match
Vandy - low reach/high match
UChicago - low reach (they seem to care less than other top schools about grades so i’d say slightly lower reach than them)
UVA - safety
Emory - match
NYU - safety
Tulane - match
UIUC - safety
Georgia tech - match
purdue - safety
UCLA, UCB - low match cause you live instate

you have great chances for most of your schools. I’ll just say you’re a bit borderline for Stanford, MIT, Duke, and Chicago. Should be decent/do-able for the rest. Chance me back please!

You’re looking pretty decent! You have great SAT scores and pretty good EC’s. I see only two “faults” in your application- first: your GPA/class rank. Pretty much every college adviser agrees that this is most important, since after all, it is a reflection of 3 years’ worth of study, hard work, character, and perseverance. That being said, your GPA is a little on the lower side, which puts you at a disadvantage among other applicants. You pretty much can’t change it at this point, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

The other fault: you really don’t have a lot in your EC’s in the way of sports/music. It’s more involvement in other clubs, but colleges like seeing a little bit of a “Renaissance man” – or woman in your case. Cofounding that cancer association looks great, but that is pretty much it. The rest kind of fades away…

My take:

Reaches for the ivies, stanford, MIT, U Chicago, Northwestern, vandy, duke, and rice

(although like you said to me, they are essentially reaches for every1- I would give you a higher chance than most)
